fluent_community_daily_jobs

  • Type: action
  • Edition: Core
  • Call sites: 3
  • When it fires: Action Scheduler task that runs once every 24 hours for the plugin's daily maintenance.

Scheduled job

This action is not fired inline. It is registered as a recurring background job and runs on a schedule, so the source below is where the job is scheduled, not where it fires. Hook it with add_action() as usual.

Registered on activation and re-registered whenever a site administrator loads the portal, in the fluent-community Action Scheduler group. Core uses it to fire fluent_community/remove_old_notifications and to prune Action Scheduler logs older than seven days; Pro's leaderboard uses it to resync points. It takes no arguments and runs in a queue-runner request, so nothing about the current user is available.

fluent_community_scheduled_hour_jobs

  • Type: action
  • Edition: Core
  • Call sites: 3
  • When it fires: Action Scheduler task that runs hourly for the plugin's short-interval maintenance.

Scheduled job

This action is not fired inline. It is registered as a recurring background job and runs on a schedule, so the source below is where the job is scheduled, not where it fires. Hook it with add_action() as usual.

Core uses it to re-evaluate the daily digest schedule and to fire fluent_community/maybe_delete_draft_medias. Like the daily job it is unscheduled on deactivation and takes no arguments. Hook here rather than to WP-Cron if you need work that must survive a page-load-free site.

fluent_community/recache_color_schema

  • Type: action
  • Edition: Core
  • Call sites: 1
  • When it fires: Signals that the cached portal colour CSS is stale and should be rebuilt.

Fired from Utility::getColorCssVariables() when a cached_css value exists but was generated by a different plugin version — an upgrade, in other words. It is a request to rebuild rather than a notification: core does nothing with it, and Pro answers by clearing the cached option and regenerating the light and dark CSS. Note the stale CSS is still returned for the current request; the rebuild takes effect on the next one.
